Any of the products in our Head Designs line can be used in combination with anything in the product line.

For Curly hair, hydrating oils are more important

This curl cream focuses both on scalp health and texture and can be used on all hair types. In addition to the aloe vera base, this conditioner features glycerin, coconut oil,  soybean oil, chia seed oil, and bergamot oil for healthy hydrating scalp and hair.

Glycerin or glycerol is a colorless, odorless, and thick water-soluble liquid used in many beauty products. It is a sugar alcohol that can be derived from animal products, plants, and petroleum.Glycerin is an effective humectant for all hair types, especially those with curly hair as it draws in moisture to your hair and scalp. By attracting and locking in moisture, glycerin is great for the overall health of your hair.

Glycerin also regulates sebum production in hair as well as being antimicrobial, glycerin can also be beneficial towards fighting dandruff. Since curly hair is prone to frizziness the added moisture that glycerin provides can help tame frizziness while strengthening hair and preventing breakage. Lastly, since glycerin improves the overall health of your hair by reducing damage and breakage in your hair, this can also be beneficial for hair growth.

Coconut oil is great for curly hair because it gets deep into the hair shaft, rather than staying on the surface of your hair. It is predominantly made up of a medium-chain fatty acid called lauric acid. Lauric acid allows coconut oil to be more easily absorbed deep into the hair shaft.

This is great for curly hair because coconut oil helps with protein loss in your hair by adding moisture to it and makes your hair stronger over time. Coconut oil can also help increase the shine, softness, and manageability while at the same time helping to decrease frizz.

Soybean oil is great for hair because it contains all of the fatty acids as well as Vitamin C, E, and Iron that help nourish hair and retain moisture. This combination helps the oils sink deeper into the hair without leaving it weighed down and heavy. Due to the nourishing properties that this oil contains it also helps reduce inflammation in the scalp, make hair softer, shinier, and promotes hair growth.

Chia seed oil is great at enhancing the moisture content of your hair. This makes your hair manageable. This oil sinks deep into your hair shafts to replenish the lost moisture, improve hair texture, and reduce dullness and damage. It strengthens the hair, tames frizz, imparts shine, and prevents brittleness or breakage. Chia seed oil is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids which can help strengthen your hair and reduce dry hair or flaky scalp. Chia seed oil can be great for hair growth because it aids in the circulation of your hair, leaving your hair thicker, stronger and healthier.

Bergamot oil reduces inflammation in the scalp with its antimicrobial properties and helps with keeping the scalp healthy and cleansed, reducing product buildup in hair. Also rich in fatty acids, bergamot oil can help condition hair and scalp, leaving it healthy and shiny and free from dandruff. Bergamot oil may be beneficial to promoting hair growth because it boosts collagen production as well.
