This combination will enhance the healing and medicinal properties in the conditioner. This conditioner is great for all hair types as its hydrating properties support healthy scalp and hair.

Any of the products in our Head Designs line can be used in combination with anything in the product line.

For Curly hair, hydrating oils are more important

This conditioner focuses both on scalp health and texture and can be used on all hair types. In addition to the aloe vera base, this conditioner features linseed oil, kukui seed oil, chia seed oil, geranium oil, bergamot oil, and cypress oil for healthy hydrating scalp and hair.

Linseed (or flaxseed) oil and chia seed oil are great at enhancing the moisture content of your hair. Flaxseed is similar to castor oil but it gets deeply absorbed in your hair. This makes your hair manageable. Both are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids which can help strengthen your hair and reduce dry hair or flaky scalp. Chia seed oil is also great at controlling frizzy hair due to its moisture properties.

Geranium oil helps nourish the scalp by balancing the natural oils and sebum in your hair. This oil is naturally full of amino acids, so it’s a great treatment for keeping the pH of your hair in check, making it a great option for those struggling with dandruff. Geranium can also help with hair growth due to its stimulating properties.

Bergamot oil reduces inflammation in the scalp with its antimicrobial properties and helps with keeping the scalp healthy and cleansed, reducing product buildup in hair. Also rich in fatty acids, bergamot oil can help condition hair and scalp, leaving it healthy and shiny and free from dandruff. Bergamot oil may be beneficial to promoting hair growth because it boosts collagen production as well.

Cypress oil has antiseptic properties to help keep hair clean while easing inflammation. Cypress oil has many health benefits and has been used to treat various health issues. It is antifungal, antimicrobial and antibacterial in addition to tightening pores. Because of the tightening effects, it’s known to stop the hair loss cycle. This oil helps balance the oils on your scalp while also assisting with blood circulation which is beneficial for hair growth as well.

From treating skin conditions to repairing split ends, kukui nut oil has made its mark as a “heal all” salve in the beauty industry. This magical oil is native to China, South Asia, and Hawaii and is soothing, hydrating and softening when applied to hair and scalp.

Kukui oil (also called candlenut oil) is similar to the oils our bodies naturally produce so it’s great for all hair types. It also contains amino acids and fatty acids that are beneficial to the long term health of your hair, leaving it shiny and moisturized.

If you’re suffering from a dry flaky scalp, this oil will be a great addition to your hair routine as it helps treat itchy scalp and dandruff by working alongside your sebum production. This makes sense because kukui oil is 60 to 70 percent oil by weight. Even though this oil is highly moisturizing, it won’t clog pores because it is easily absorbed into the skin. Kukui nut oil is not heavy or greasy, making it a good choice for use with fine hair. It will not weigh hair down or leave it looking and feeling too slick and oily.
